IBD Patient Family Advisory Council

The IBD PFAC partners together to create the highest level of multidisciplinary, collaborative care, focusing on the whole child and their families. Their focus is to offer insight and collaboration as partners and to represent families living with inflammatory bowel disease.

How We Do it

 

  1. Consistent communication between the IBD PFAC and the IBD clinical team

  2. Provide patient and family perspective on policies and procedures, service excellence, and exceptional education for patients and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings

  3. Maintain a fresh and engaged IBD PFAC

Parents Offering Parent Support (POPS)

Children's Mercy offers a program called Parents Offering Parent Support (POPS), a network of trained parent volunteers who mentor other parents through the challenges of their child's health condition.
