KIDS KC
Kids and Families Impacting Disease through Science (KIDS KC) is a teen council that works to impact medicine, research, and innovation at Children’s Mercy and internationally. KIDS KC is a member of the International Children’s Advisory Network (iCAN).
Become a member
To become a member of KIDS KC you must:
- Be 13-18 years old.
- Be a member of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB).
- Be a current patient getting medical care at Children’s Mercy.
- Be vaccinated for COVID and flu.
- Or request exemption every year.
- Have transportation to meetings and activities.
Once you are a KIDS KC member, you must:
- Attend at least 40% of meetings and activities unless excused.
- Be respectful.
- Have good attendance and effort at school.
