Dental Clinic
Dental Clinic
Children's Mercy provides comprehensive preventative and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children, patients with special health care needs, and those covered by most Medicaid.
Every member of our staff is a pediatric dental specialist. Our dentists and orthodontists work closely with your child's primary care physician and other medical specialists to provide the best care possible.
A pediatric dentist is available 24 hours a day through the Children's Mercy emergency departments.
Referrals are not needed for dental treatment.
Clinical Services
Consultations for inpatient, outpatient and dental specialists available for consultations in the community. Telehealth visits are also available.
Dental rehabilitation services may take place in the operating room under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist. In-clinic sedation with a sedation nurse is also an option. The pediatric dentist works with the patient's family to determine the most appropriate and comfortable setting for the child.
Operating facilities with state-of-the-art, child-size equipment including cone beam CT scan and digital radiography. Child-friendly operatories have overhead televisions in every room.
