Understanding and Managing ADHD
We have Behavioral Parent Training groups for parents of school-age children with ADHD (6-12 years old) and for preschool children with ADHD or highly suspected to have an ADHD diagnosis (3.5- 5 years old).
These groups are currently being offered virtually via Microsoft Teams for parents only.
Autism Family Training Sessions
In-person training events are a great opportunity to hear from experts about various topics that can benefit your family and connect with other families who are on the same journey.
Autism Online Training Modules
Children's Mercy offers several online training modules for families affected by autism. These recorded presentations are available anytime at no cost to families. Topics include toilet training, mealtime struggles, sleep and more.
CARE Workshops
Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) Workshops were developed for parents and caregivers of children ages 2-12 who have experienced stressful or traumatic events in their lives, children with behavior problems, or parents who want to strengthen the relationship with their child. The goal of CARE is to strengthen the adult-child relationship and increase children’s positive behaviors.
Eating Disorders Videos
Videos for parents and caregivers. Learn from the experts at Children’s Mercy and from other caregivers about spotting early warning signs, binge eating, what to do when you suspect a disorder, and more.
Prepped and Ready: Parenting into the Teen Years
Prepped and Ready is a presentation that helps parents learn what steps they can take to manage the tricky transition from parenting a child to parenting a teenager, with an emphasis on suicide prevention.
