Signs and Symptoms of Scoliosis
Many parents wonder what signs to watch for if they are concerned that their child may have scoliosis.
Symptoms can vary depending on the age of your child. It’s helpful to note the severity and length of time of their symptoms when you notice something out of the ordinary, so you can share that information with your child’s care team.
Some of the most common signs or symptoms include:
- Uneven shoulders
- Head not centered over body
- Walks “funny”
- Tilted pelvis
- Uneven waistline
- Hunched back (kyphosis)
- Back pain
