The Children’s Mercy Contact Center will call the patient within 2 business days to schedule. Scheduled and requested appointment status can be found on the Wednesday referral reports. |
Follow-Up Appointments
Follow up appointments should be scheduled by the patient by calling the rehabilitation clinic at (816) 234-3970.
Conditions Treated
Amputation/limb differences, brachial plexus abnormalities, mild traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, gait disorders, muscular dystrophy, neuropathy, spina bifida, spinal cord injuries, spasticity, torticollis, dystonia, nerve and muscle disorders, plegia, concussion, muscle weakness.
This clinic requires that a physician's referral be submitted prior to scheduling an appointment.
For concussion, please indicate on referral form the date of the injury as well as any current symptoms.
For torticollis the patient should already have a torticollis diagnosis, physical therapy ordered/started by the referring provider and be between 6-18 months of age. Patients older than 18 months should be referred to the Plastic Surgery clinic.
