Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat
Description: Learn basic pediatric head and neck exam and anatomy; understand basic middle-ear pathology and interventions; airway pathology; and work up and common head and neck disease processes.

Elective locations: Adele Hall Campus; Children's Mercy Kansas
Elective duration: Four weeks
Format: Clinic, Inpatient, and OR
Typical Schedule: Weekdays; 8 am to 5 pm
Prerequisites: Completion of the Core Pediatric Clerkship and must be in final year of medical school.
Rotations closed: July-September (orienting new fellows and residents)
Criteria for passing: Understand basic pediatric head and neck exam and anatomy. Understand basic middle-ear pathology and interventions. Understand airway pathology and work up. Understand common head and neck disease processes.
Criteria for honors: Same as above with the addition of a short presentation on a topic of the student's choice involving pediatric ENT (student driven).
