Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowship
This one-year, ACGME-accredited training experience is designed to promote expertise through outstanding clinical, surgical, academic, investigative and administrative instruction. Our Heart Center is one of the higher-volume pediatric heart centers in the nation with a survival rate frequently above the national average.
The Ward Family Center for Congenital Heart Disease includes 30 board-certified pediatric cardiologists and three congenital cardiothoracic surgeons, 8 cardiac intensivists, and 8 cardiac anesthesiologists and over 30 advanced practice nurses with support from nursing, social work, nutrition and exercise physiology. The high-volume center offers the region's most comprehensive care from birth to young adulthood for congenital and acquired heart disease, boasting outstanding clinical facilities, and research training opportunities.
