Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic during entire fellowship. Two clinics per month.

Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City, MO Level IV NICU

Fellows are exposed to a variety of pathophysiology including patients with extreme prematurity, congenital anomalies, surgical conditions and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. The fellows provide primary care to the ECMO patients in the NICU. The neonatal home ventilator program allows fellows to participate in care of these infants in the NICU and also in the home ventilator clinic as outpatient. The Fetal Health Center provides experiences with fetal therapies and delivery room management of newborns with complex pathology. The Neonatal Follow-Up Clinics consist of the extremely low birth weight clinic and the NEON clinic includes care of patients with congenital heart disease, HIE, CDH and the home ventilator clinic.

University Health Kansas City, MO Level III NICU

Fellows get delivery room experience, provide antenatal consults and supervise residents and lead medical care team rounds, supervise resident and medical students.

University of Kansas Medical Center Kansas City, KS Level III NICU

Fellows spend a month in their second year rotating in the NICU and participating in antenatal consults, delivery attendance and provide NICU patient care.

Advent Health Shawnee Mission, Shawnee Mission, KS Level III NICU

Fellows spend a month in their third year rotating in the NICU, attending deliveries and learning the administrative aspects of neonatologist in a private practice hospital setting.
