Child Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship >
The Child Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Children's Mercy provides training as a Major Area of Study as defined by the Stages of Education and Training and Levels of Educational Opportunities approved by APA Council of Specialties in Professional Psychology (COSPP) for the specialty area of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CAPP). Postdoctoral psychology graduates complete training in psychological assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration in the context of a dedicated pediatric academic health care environment. By providing the highest-quality supervision and training, the program aims to facilitate advanced clinical and professional skills to prepare postdoctoral fellows for successful careers as psychologists in a chosen setting.
Child Psychology Doctoral Internship Program >
The Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology Internship Program at Children's Mercy provides training as a Major Area of Study as defined by the Stages of Education and Training and Levels of Educational Opportunities approved by APA Council of Specialties in Professional Psychology (COSPP) for the specialty area of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CAPP). Doctoral level psychology interns complete training in psychological assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the context of a dedicated pediatric academic health environment. By providing the highest-quality supervision and training, the program aims to facilitate a well-balanced set of clinical and professional skills to prepare interns for successful careers as psychologists.
Practicum Program >
The Section of Psychology at Children’s Mercy offers practicum experiences in assessment and/or intervention for children, adolescents, and families within a pediatric setting. The practicum experience is a commitment for one academic year, approximately nine months in duration for one to two days each week. Positions may include clinical and research experiences, based on the supervisor’s availability. These practicum positions met criteria for a Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology Practicum as defined by the APA Stages of Education and Training and Levels of Educational Opportunities approved by APA Council of Specialties in Professional Psychology (COSPP) for the specialty area of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CAPP).
