Teen Boards
Children's Mercy Hospital provides dedicated resources to meet the unique health care needs of adolescents. Our goal is to empower teenagers with the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their care.
Our teen advisory board provides Children's Mercy with direct feedback and suggestions from various ages, backgrounds and communities.
The goal of our Hem-Onc teen board is to improve care and support for patients receiving treatment for cancer or blood disorders.
The Kids and Families Impacting Disease through Science, or KIDS initiative, is an advisory group of teens and families focused on understanding, communicating and improving the process of medical innovation and research experiences for children. KIDS KC is a member of the International Children’s Advisory Network (iCAN) and is based out of Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City MO.
